Solar Power Program - Amagoro Primary School, Malaba Central Ward

On July 16, 2025, the Osiya Foundation visited Amagoro Primary School in Malaba Central Ward, Teso North Sub-County, and handed over a solar power system to a community that received it with open arms and plenty of energy.

The handover was a spirited occasion. Parents and teachers gathered in the school compound, vocal and present, the kind of crowd that makes it clear that education in this community is taken seriously and that support for their school does not go unnoticed.

For Amagoro Primary School, the solar installation, panels and a Beacon battery system, means a more reliable, more functional school environment. It means the school is no longer at the mercy of power outages or an inconsistent grid. It means that what happens inside those classrooms can happen fully, without interruption, every day.

Malaba Central Ward sits at a busy and important junction in Teso North Sub-County, a community with a lot of movement and a lot of ambition. The children at Amagoro Primary School are growing up in that environment, and they deserve a school that keeps pace with their potential.

The Osiya Foundation was glad to be welcomed so warmly, and proud to leave behind something that will serve Amagoro Primary School long into the future.
