Okame Cultural Event At Okame Technical and Vocational College held on May 31, 2025

Culture is not just what a community has; it is what a community is. On May 31, 2025, that truth was on full display at Okame Technical and Vocational College, where the Osiya Foundation was proud to support and attend the Okame Cultural Event.

The grounds were alive with energy. Performers in traditional attire took to the stage before a packed crowd that filled the stands and spilled across the compound. Community leaders were present, the audience was loud and joyful, and the atmosphere was exactly what a cultural celebration should be: proud, warm, and deeply rooted in a shared sense of belonging.

Events like this one matter more than they are sometimes given credit for. They are spaces where communities pass down what they value, where the young see themselves reflected in the old, and where people who may not otherwise gather in the same place are reminded that they belong to something bigger than themselves.

The Osiya Foundation believes that culture is one of the most powerful foundations a community can build on. Supporting events that keep traditions alive and bring people together is a natural extension of everything we stand for.

The Okame Cultural Event was a reminder of just how rich and vibrant this community is. The Osiya Foundation was honored to be part of it.
