10,000 SEEDLINGS PLANTED. ONE GREENER BUSIA.
Osiya Foundation is walking the talk on climate action!
In line with the Presidential directive on tree planting to combat climate change, we rolled out a massive tree & fruit seedling distribution drive along the Busiaââ¬âMunami Road.
What we did:
âÅ⦠Distributed tree and fruit seedlings to schools and churches for planting within their institutions
âÅ⦠Reached homes in the neighborhood so families could plant and benefit directly
âÅ⦠10,000 seedlings planted in total during the exercise
This is more than planting trees. Itââ¬â¢s about securing clean air, restoring our environment, creating shade for our children, and giving families fruit trees that will feed them for years to come.
We were proud to be joined by leaders from Kenya Forest Service, Kenya Dairy Board, and partners from the Ugandan Government who helped make the exercise run smoothly.
To every headteacher, pastor, and household that took part ââ¬â asante sana. This is how we build a greener, healthier Busia County.
When schools, churches, and homes grow together, the whole community grows.
