On April 20, 2025, the Osiya Foundation visited Budalangi to do something simple but significant -show up for local football.

In front of a large and enthusiastic crowd, jerseys were handed over to Subi FC, a local football club representing the talent and ambition of young people in Budalangi. It was a moment that many in that crowd had been waiting for, not just the players, but the community that follows them, believes in them, and packs the touchline every time they play.

Talent in rural Kenya is not in short supply. What is sometimes in short supply is the support that helps that talent go somewhere. A kit is more than fabric and numbers; it is a statement that someone has noticed your hard work, taken you seriously, and decided to back you. For the players of Subi FC, that statement came loud and clear on April 20th.
